Wash and pat dry the chicken breasts with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the chicken breasts to the skillet. Cook for 5–6 minutes on one side until golden brown.
Flip the chicken and cook the other side for another 5–6 minutes until fully cooked.
Add the minced garlic to the skillet. Stir gently around the chicken and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in the fresh lemon juice and add the lemon zest.
Stir everything gently so the chicken is coated with the lemon garlic sauce.
Let the sauce simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly reduced.
Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top.
Remove from heat and serve warm.
